Broadcast
Updated over 8 months ago

To increase customers' willingness to open messages, we can set up "push notifications" for each broadcast message. This allows users to see the copy before even clicking into the official account conversation, thereby attracting users to open the conversation to view the content.

Firstly, notifications are divided into "computer/mobile LINE message notifications" and "LINE APP conversation list" notifications (as shown in the picture).

LINE itself also has some restrictions on push notifications, let's take a look.

Key Points:

  • Text file type (single broadcast message)

  • Card type (single broadcast message)

  • Multiple broadcast messages

Text Type (Single Broadcast)

If the broadcast message only selects to send a single "text" or "file," it is not possible to edit the "push notification." The system will default to using your entered "text" or "different file type" as the notification display.

Reminders:

  • If you select a video file type, it will display "OOXXX sent a video."

  • Since it's a single broadcast message, the "LINE message notification" and "LINE APP conversation list" will display the same content.

Card Type (Single Broadcast)

If you choose to send a single "option card," "confirmation card," "image message," or "multi-page large image" etc., card formats, then the "push notification" setting box will be opened. Whatever you enter, the system will capture and display in the LINE notification.

If you do not enter a "push notification," the system will display different notification messages according to the type of card.

Reminders:

  • For a single broadcast message, the "LINE message notification" and "LINE APP conversation list" will display the same.

Multiple Broadcast

The only thing to note is the "text/file" + "card" multiple messages. As we can see from the single text file type, it's not possible to set "push notifications," but it's possible when combined with cards, although there are still some differences.

Standards:

  • LINE APP conversation list: When opening the LINE APP conversation list on a computer or phone, the default is to take the last message as the default notification. If a push notification is set, it will be prioritized for display. If not, the last of the different types of messages mentioned above will be displayed.

  • LINE message notification: The computer or phone's own LINE message notification will default to displaying the first message. Even if you have set a "push notification," it will not be applied. In short, for "text/file" + "card" multiple messages, the first message is directly taken as the message notification.

Reminder:

  • The broadcast message sharing content function does not affect the push notification.
