The mass sharing button feature of Super 8 allows friends of the official account who receive the push notification to share the message. Because the sharing environment isn't limited to just opening URL links, we can convert the URL into a LINE official LIFF (LINE Front-end Framework) format. This approach allows individuals who have not joined or have blocked and are clicking for the first time to encounter a permission verification page and either unblock or join the official account, simultaneously achieving the goal of accumulating new friends through sharing.

Reminders:

  • This feature utilizes the LINE official LIFF web page (LINE Front-end Framework) functionality. It's recommended to understand the LIFF features before setting it up.

  • The LIFF URL function is applicable in any scenario; this discussion only shares settings in conjunction with mass sharing.

  • If you're simply converting a website into LIFF, you can follow the setup methods mentioned below.

Key Points:

  • First-time setup of the Login Channel

  • Adding a LIFF

  • Setting up mass distribution

  • Actual screen display

First-Time Setup of Login Channel

  • Log in to the LINE Developer console.

  • Choose the Provider you wish to use (Choose the Provider used to integrate with Super 8 to ensure it's the official account. If you don't have this Provider, log in with the LINE account used for the initial integration).

  • Under the "Channels" tab, click "Create a new channel."

  • In the popup window, select "LINE Login" and fill in the required information completely. It's suggested that the Channel name be consistent with your LINE official account for easier recognition. Select "Web app" for App types.

  • After creating the Channel, enter the "Basic settings" tab to edit related settings. Scroll down to select your LINE official account under "Linked OA."

  • At the top of this page, change the Channel status to "Published."

Adding a LIFF

  • Go to the "LIFF" tab in your Login Channel and click "Add" to create a new LIFF.

  • LIFF app name: Choose a custom name (recommended to use the official account name).

  • Size: Choose according to the desired web page presentation (full or compact).

  • Endpoint URL: Enter the URL of the website you wish to import (e.g., https://www.no8.io/).

  • Scopes: It's recommended to check both options.

  • Bot link feature: Choose On (Aggressive).

  • Decide whether to enable other options based on your needs, then click "Add" to create.

Setting Up Mass Distribution

  • Refer to the mass message tutorial article for detailed instructions. This section will demonstrate how to include the newly created LIFF URL in a mass distribution card.

  • In the mass message setup, use a card format with a multi-page large image as an example.

  • Incorporate the newly created LIFF URL into the "URL button."

  • Activate the share with friends button (refer to the setup connection for unset links).

  • Confirm everything is correct before sending out the mass message.

Actual Screen Display

  • From the perspective of friends of the official account

  • From the perspective of the shared friends

This completes the process of enabling recipients of shared content through the mass sharing button to click and allow non-official account friends to join or unblock.

Using LIFF to open URLs has the advantage that it doesn't open in a default browser like Safari or Google Chrome on mobile devices; it stays within the LINE page, enhancing the visual impact with the option to set it to open in full or half-page format.
