Welcome to Super 8 classroom. In this lesson, we will explain how to link with LINE official account.
We will use 3 pages, including Super 8 backend, LINE OA and LINE Developer backend.
Linking process can be divided into 3 stages:
1. LINE OA Response Mode Settings
Before linking, please make sure you have LINE OA manager permissions. Then log in to the LINE official account backend
Click “Settings” in the top right corner and then “Response settings”.
Select “Chatbot” for response mode. Select “Chat” to switch back to 1-on-1 chat mode.
Reminder: Super 8 link will not be functional under “Chat” mode. Please switch only when necessary.
If your OA has been linked to any third-party API developer before, please tap to “Activate” Webhook
Webhook is not available if OA has not been linked to any third-party API. In this case, please click “Messaging API”. You must Activate Messaging API and complete settings; then return to this post to continue setting up.
Reminder: It is recommended to disable “Greeting message” and “Auto-reply”. If you have already configured a chatbot to reply message automatically on the Super 8 platform, disabling LINE OA can avoid chatbots interfering each other.
2. LINE Developer Backend Login
Click “LINE Developers” to jump to developer backend
Click the profile picture in the top right corner and select “LINE Developers Console”
Select your service provider and then click the “Messaging API” channel to access the page
Do not close the Channel page. Then please access Super 8 platform to start linking.
3. Super 8 Link Authorization
5 steps to link to Super 8
Access “Organization settings” page from Super 8 platform and click “Official account link settings” button.
Follow steps below to link
Step 1: Check account type
You can only link with the application with permissions of “Organization creator” and “Administrator” of Super 8 platform as well as LINE official account “Manager”.
Step 2: Paste Channel ID
Copy “Channel ID” string in “Basic settings” on Messaging API Channel page
And paste to “Step 2” field on the Super 8 platform
Step 3: Paste Channel Secret
Copy “Channel secret” string on “Basic settings” page
And paste to “Step 3” field on the Super 8 platform
Step 4: Paste Channel Access Token
Switch to “Messaging API” tab first
Scroll to the bottom and find “Channel access token” string; copy
And paste to “Step 4” field on the Super 8 platform
Please click “issue” if “Channel access token” is not available
After these 4 steps, click “Build link” at the bottom of Super 8 platform to complete linking with LINE OA.
Then we can send direct messages to your linked LINE OA and switch to “Message Center” page on the Super 8 platform to check if messages can be successfully received
If messages are not delivered, it means the link is not successfully created. Check settings again and return to Messaging API tab in Step 4
Check if “Webhook URL” imports the link. If not, please enter https://n.no8.io/line/xxxxxxx(for xxxxxxx, please fill in Channel ID in Step 2) manually and click “Verify”
Check if “Use Webhook” is activated. If not, please check to activate
If the aforementioned advice does not work, please contact Super 8 customer service through the plugin in the bottom right corner
