LINE Developers FAQ
Updated over a week ago

Q1: From LINE Official Account Manager (Line OA backend) -> "Settings" -> "Messaging API" -> Click "LINE Developers" to enter, but the following screen is not seen.

A: If you enter and log into your own LINE account and see the following screen, it means you do not have the Provider and Messaging API Channel admin rights for that LINE account.

Please consult with your colleagues to see if a Messaging API Channel has been created before and follow that path to enter. If you cannot find the colleague who created it, please contact LINE official customer service to retrieve the account rights.

Q2: Does the Login channel have to be in the same Provider as the Messaging API Channel?

A: Yes. Because LINE officially requires both Channels to be under the same Provider to trigger related functions.

Q3: If I cannot find the Messaging API Channel, can I create a new one myself?

A: No. Each LINE official account can only have one Messaging API Channel and cannot create a new one. If you cannot find the Messaging API Channel and the associated Provider rights, please contact LINE official customer service to retrieve the account rights.

Q4: If other colleagues find the Messaging API Chanel, how can we authorize it to others?

A: You can authorize others via E-mail. Please refer to the following method. First, authorize the Provider, then click into the Messaging API Channel for the same E-mail operation.

If authorizing via E-mail to other colleagues, the authorization email cannot be revoked.

When logging into E-mail to get Provider/Channel authorization, please confirm the account logged in (LINE personal account or E-mail).

It is not possible to delete the account of the person who created the Messaging API Channel at that time.

First, click on "Role" within the Provider.

Invite by email.

Enter the colleague you wish to authorize.

Select the permission role; you need to be an Admin to proceed with the next steps.

Send out the invitation.

Q5: Why can't my created Login Channel be linked to the LINE OA account or be used?

A: Please first confirm whether your created Login Channel is within the same Provider as the Messaging API Channel (as shown below). If you do not see a similar screen or the Messaging API Channel, please return to the first question of LINE Developers FAQ to check the rights.

Q6: Can I use the same LIFF ID for the lead generation channel LIFF and the rich menu LIFF I saw in the Super 8 backend?

A: No. The same Login channel ID can be used, but LIFF IDs must be created separately. This is because the display of the Endpoint URL is completely different!
